So C&D seem to think the build papers will be out in late 2016, but my dealer is telling me nothing will be out until 2017 and it will be called a MY2018. I think they are confusing the 2017 S4 with the new RS4. Heard any other authoritative info?

European orders start April, first deliveries start late June/early July. US normally lags 4-6 months?

RS4 available, in theory, first quarter of 2017 as Audi promised to bring production forward in the platform life. May blow out, as the engine is demanding of technical development budget.

So by the end of 2016, we will find out if this year is "normal" for Audi. There have been many recent management changes in VW/Audi, it will interesting to see how this affects car delivery in the USA. Several media outlets have stated MY 2017 B9 S4 USA delivery in late 2016.

The most recent updates I have seen suggest US orders beginning in the summer with deliveries beginning in the fall. The US release of the B9 A4 lagged Europe by approximately four months, so I would expect S4 deliveries beginning Oct. or Nov. following the same schedule.

The Audi B9 S4 configurator is not yet up in the UK and GER Audi websites. Status is still T.B.C. This means it is still not yet available in those markets. My guess is it will become available mid this year as 2017MY for Europe. The North American market might start receiving their B9 S4's by early to mid-2017 as MY2018 models.

Talked to the dealership manager, they told me that the S4 will arrive sometime after September this year.

Thanks for that info. Now I understand why the European configurators are not yet live. This probably also means that the US will not see the S4 until calendar 2017. Bummer.
