Default What's a good intake for a 2011 S4?

Goal is to hear the "whistle" when I rev the engine. Any long lasting intake is what im looking for. I have no knowledge about any intake(s) what so ever.

Roc Euro. Best whine and best gains so far.

go to audizine. I think there is still a special price for it. Their site says one price, but you get charged another.

But in all seriousness, I believe the supercharger whine is eliminated by the small resonator in the snorkel pipe between the intake and the throttle plate. Any aftermarket intake that replaces that with a straight pipe should increase the sound.

The Roc Euro will give you the loudest supercharger whine since it has the metal tube. Plastic tubes will help some, but it won't be as loud as one with a metal tube. I sent you a PM with the thread for the group buy.

Some is the stock pipe and resonator, some is also the enclosed box. That said, there is marginal gains from actual airflow, the better gains are from ensuring cool air and no heat soak. I have had the Stratmosphere intake since the first group buy (now called Roc-Euro, it's the same thing and guy though) and can't be much happier. The SC whine is not really there for family driving, but once you put a load on the engine and get into the pedal it wakes up fast.
