I hear good things about the Conti's and Michelen but can't speak from personal experience. Just make sure you don't get GY Eagle F1's All Seasons. Painfully noisy, harsh ride, and wear too quickly. It's just an fyi

Default Continental ContiSportContact 3 (255/35ZR19)

Has anyone taken the Continental ContiSportContact 3 (255/35ZR19) to the track? They came as the OEM tire on my S4, seemed to grip good diving quickly into some freeway entrance loops, but haven't really tested them to the traction breaking point.

Otherwise I'd go with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 (Cheap, very good performance) or Michelin Pilot Super Sport (Best performance, best tread life, stiffest sidewall, not bad on price). I'm currently running the PSS's after undergoing a similar situation to yours and I love them."

Do you still have the Dunlops? I will PM you. Thanks
Yes I sure do

I am running Michelin pilot sport all season plus in 255/35/19. I had the conti dws on there for about 10 k. Man what a pos tire the conti was. The Michelin is an awesome tire. I would recommend it to anyone. I have a 2010 S5

I took these Contis to two track events this past year. Both my instructor and I thought they came to their limits pretty quickly even though we were not taxing the rest of the car (ie, I was not driving that aggressively). When I took the car to the shop and swapped out to my winter setup, the shop also noted how beat up the tires looked, too. So while they can be used for the track with some success, I still can't wait to put some PSSs for future events.

I went with the Kumho Ecsta 4X's and am extremely happy with them so far (about 200 miles). Dry weather is great, rain is great, still have yet to test on snow but this is a great, still very firm tire for an all season and under $200 a piece.

Sorry, 2,000 miles...
