Default For those of you that installed the underseat bins...

How the H-E-Double Hockey Sticks did you get the four bolts that hold down the seats out???

I've been trying for over an hour using both my hex set and my impact driver in reverse to try and get the darned things out, and have had absolutely no progress besides stripping one of the bolts. Everything I've read, including the DIY have said that this is the EASY part.

What gives?!!

I have to assume you are using the correct sized hex/torx socket? I think it requires a T50 torx socket if my memory serves me correctly.

If so...be sure to apply a lot of downward pressure on the socket while you are turning it. It shouldn't be that tough to get out.

I put the bin in without removing the seat. Took out the two small hinge end screws on the bin, installed the bracket. Then the hard part was getting the tiny hinge screw and washer thread started on the side next to the tunnel. Still it was a pretty quick install.

Nevermind, i got all the bolts out except for the rear right one on the drivers side (the one that was giving me so much trouble when I made the original post). I installed the passenger side bin, and stopped by my dealer on the way home.

It turns out that the bolt's screws had twisted oddly when it was installed at the factory. They had to cut the bolt off and replace it. Anyway, I got the drivers side done when I got home.

Thanks for the help!
