Thule makes mounts which fit the new Audi roof rails - but you need to get them from Europe or UK
as they currently aren't sold by Thule USA. Allows you to use any size Thule crossbar.

My concern is clearance between bottom of rail and roof
On these new fanged rails with no standoff from the car (ala Q5, Q7, A6). If you have rack accessories that screw on from the bottom, I'm thinking you will not be able to do it, because the roof is convex in the middle. It's an issue even on my wagon with an older thule box attachment system.
Any BTDT or BTSeenT?

If I could ever get an S4 Avant, that would be sweet.

No S4 Avant in the U.S. ... so I got a crossover that can do 5.5 sec 0-62.5 mph
I'm pretty satisfied with my Infiniti EX35, after knowing the S4 Avant is not coming. The new S4 sedan is rated at 5.1 sec 0-60. So the heavier Avant could run 5.3-5.4 seconds 0-60 mph.
The Infiniti EX35 could do 5.5 sec. 0-100kph or 0-62.5 mph with the Canadian professional test driver. I love it ... who cares if Audi has decided not bring the S4 Avant here! I have one just as fast and has the same trunk space.
Check out the video (it's French but they post the 0-100kph or 0-62.5 mph time ... and you have to view a 15 seconds ad before the real video starts).
