S4 beats 335 in November Car and Driver
Great article
4.9 0-60.
We won with 229 points vs 335's 223 points. They said it's the first 3 series loss in a head-to-head since 2004.
Nice!

YES! Haha, funny that I drove a 335 minutes before hitting the Audi dealer and I didn't call BMW back
I can't wait to read this, I've been waiting for a nice compro!

I can't find it on their site, so it sounds like it will be in the magazine in my mailbox for now, they generally load them to the C&D site a few days after the hard copy comes out.

I have a hard copy, unfortunately no scanner at home.
You can tell C&D really wanted the BMW to win, but it just didn't. They tested against a 2wd 335 instead of X-drive noting that the RWD has better performance so BMW fans should not be mad as the 4wd would have done worse by comparison and is more expensive.
Article name:
Audi Ices Mighty 3 Series by Shedding Price and Even Power
Highs:
As planted as a giant sequoia, torque vectoring diff feels like real wheel steering, rumble from rump pipes
Lows:
Heavy, interior plainness, option it carefully or it gets expensive
Verdict:
The often "also-ran" finally tied up the loose ends.
End quote of the article:
Audi's S4 is king, but uneasy is the head that wears the crown. A new 3-series is coming in 2011 and we don't think BMW has forgotten how to learn.

i'd love to see this article. In Jan of 2008 I switched from my b6 s4 to an e92 335xi.
I'm struggling with the two doors and need to go back to a 4 door and at the top of my list is the b8 S4 followed by a CPO RS4 so I'd love to see this article....

A little more detail please: MT or S tronic, as tested prices
What was the 0-60 time for the 335i? As a current 335 owner, I can't be happier that Audi has finally produced a car that is better than the class benchmark. I really like my current car but can't wait to come back to Audi. I just hope I an afford an S4. It's hard to go from low BMW lease payments to Audi payments.
