Default My winter wheels - pics

With temperatures falling below freezing this week I scrambled to install my winter wheels, I opted for the rather inexpensive ($135 each) but still nice looking 18" Moda EB1 from TireRack with 245/40R-18 Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D high performance tires ($255 each).

Nice. It's a good winter setup with an affordable wheel. I just put the same tires on my OEM 18" wheels today. So far I'm happy with their ride quality but I haven't spent a lot of time with them yet.

Those wheels don't look bad at all.

Who makes the waffle flooring tiles?

I had used 2 sets of these tires before with my old A4, they are usually good for 3 winters, obviously I'm happy with their ride quality (on dry, wet, ice or snow), more noisy than the summers though.

Just installed the moda 11 with Conti Extreme DWS. Not bad either, but a little wobble between 45 -65 mph until I had them rebalanced. Tirerack was very good about it and covered the cost. Also they use nylon/plastic concentric spacers. Replacing them with aluminum with anti-seize to give better fitment. I tend to drive very fast and dont like even a little vibration or anything that will distract me. I know for $135 what do you expect. They arent bad. And already hit 120 mph with them on.

And yes..love the deck.....how long have you had it?
