Mountain bike with hitch mount for 2010 S4?
First of all I have to say I love my new S4... had it for 2 months to replace a 330i and it rocks!
I recognize that many of you may feel that this is sacrilege... but anyone consider a hitch mount for their S4?
I had a hitch mount on my old WRX and it was vastly superior for carrying my mountain bikes then either a roof mounted option or throwing the bike in the trunk: No wind noise or damage to the paint and the Yakima rack is removable in about 30s when not using it. With my more recent BMW 330i I put a drop sheet in the trunk and carried it that way but it's a hassle and the trunk still gets dirty. So far there don't seem to be any hitch mounts available for the S4 but there are for the A4... any thoughts on whether this could be easily modified to fit our S4's? I'm assuming the quad exhaust is an issue?
Any thoughts?

This would be very interesting for me to know as well. I hate the roof mount. and i'd like to be able to carry 2 bikes (if a single one even fits in the trunk)

Not sure if this is what you are looking for.
I am very new to Audi world but may have found a solution here at the suggestion of a fellow biker and Boxster owner. I saw him loading his bike up on one of these the other day and inquired about it - he had nothing but great things to say...

I have one on order and will post when installed. The owner is easy to talk to and very helpful when it comes to customization.

I think the Curt hitch meant for the B8 A4 Avant will probably work on the B8 S4 sedan since they look the same underneath, but I haven't tried it or found anyone who has. link

why not a thule/yakima rack and protect the roof mount points with clear bra material?
I bought a roll of this and have used it on 4 of my own cars and 2 friend's and still have some left

wind noise - you can reduce it with a fairing but it's still there

I'll need to find a solution at some point in the future as well. . . . Is there any reason why this won't work?

In addition you have wind noise, the fuel economy hit, having to lift it up there, the potential for paint damage, etc. IMHO, a towbar hitch mounted bike rack is just a much better solution.
