seemed like it should have been faster than 12.9 sec 1/4.

Most magazine seem to test the S4 in 13.5-13.2 range stock. The magazines haven't seemed to get their hands on one of the factory freaks that romp around the forums. ;-)

Nice review! Though perhaps they should have given APR some credit for the tune

Dave - that 1/4 mile figure is right in line with your results. Possibly heading back to GLD this Saturday. Conditions look favorable, as long as it doesn't rain . . .

very true

also, R&T that tested the S4 at 12.9 but they did so on a flat stretch at a race track in texas...not at a dragstrip. They used GPS equipment...and weren't on a properly graded (UPHILL) dragstrip with certification.

This is pretty common...magazines test at all kinds of different locations and use GPS equipment for timing. It's kind of ridiculous because the road test summary would have you think it's standardized like the top gear lap board or something...but they test at a myriad of locations.

Yep, and they tested a 6 speed with intake and exhaust, whereas mine's DSG and otherwise stock. So, it does lend credence to the idea that my car's performance is about what should be expected of a tune...

Have fun Sat. if you go!

I was led to believe Stasis is a GIAC tune?

No APR is the only company who has cracked the ECU so far.

Default OK but tires are too big!

I think 20'' rims slow car because of larger inertia.
R&T got same numbers: 4.5(0-60) and 12.9 at 108.5 mph at he quarter stock.

Agreed Bruce! I read the article today and still shaking my head ? ? ? ? ? Should have been better 0-60 and 1/4 mile times!
