Loving the S4
Just got my S4 recently - first Audi, and first new car in 12+ years. Had to share my enthusiasm with someone and hopefully you'll understand.
The ride/handling balance of this car is outstanding. I can drive it for hours and feel comfortable yet it inhales corners with no roll. To be honest it drives so well I'm glad I didn't get the adaptive suspension.
Funny thing is when I went shopping for cars I was 99% sure I'd come home with the 335i, thinking it would outhandle the S4. Boy was I wrong...the 335i M sports I drove (3 of them) felt more like my mom's Lexus RX350 than a proper BMW. I couldn't get used to the complete absence of steering feel or the floaty ride...how could they put //M badges on anything that boring?
Kudos to Audi for keeping the S4 a true driver's car...even if it has humble platform roots.
Cheers,
HDC

BMW has been resting on its laurels for some time now. Public opinion(shared by BMW fanboys) is that it is still the ultimate driving machine. IMHO, it no longer is. The 335i design styling and performance has advanced very little since the release the E90 models. M4 should be something to contend with
