Just bought the bulbs from iJDM so hopefully when I get them in I can start working on it. I'll keep you posted!

So I bought the bulb, but I think I hit a snag, we'll see. When I removed the bulb from the base, there is a hole with with wires. It looks like the metal LED does not have the base like the plastic one that you have installed. Was your bulb different? I have to look if this is still going to work or if I should quit while I'm ahead. Not sure if the angle will facilitate the install of the wires.

Yea for some reason the bottom of the led looks different but the plastic base the led was attached to was the same. Take a look inside the plastic base and see how it was attached to the metal contacts, you should be able to solder longer pins where it was connected inside the base. I can't really see in the last pic. Take a pic so I can see the bottom of the led base, it looks like you might be able to solder pins on those 2 metal contacts on the bottom of the LED and then guide them thru the OEM base. Otherwise if you can't do it get the same exact ones I got.

I bought the solder and LEDs so I can start working on it. I understand your explanation, but I have to see if the LED will fit on the Audi bulb base. I have a feeling that I should have purchased the LED you have since it has a flat base and not a hole like mine.

Thanks!

The OEM base is smaller and should fit that LED, give it a shot...let me know if you need help separating the bulb from the base

Got it done finally! Took about 3-4 hours total; trying to figure it out took most of the time so that I didn't break anything. I will post a list of materials and my experience later, but just wish that the LEDs were a bit brighter. Other than that looks good.

I assume that there's less of a yellow appearance when looking at the turn signals (when turn signals are not illuminated). Very interested in reading your experience with this little tweak.

I've been really interested in doing this and for the 2010-2012 models this seems to be the only way. Is there a size of LED I should be looking for when buying them. Like the other guy I really want something brighter since LED's tend to be less bright than their lumen counterpart in an incandescent bulb.
