I love the Japanese influence on the German car companise now,lol. Remember when a body style would be a 5-6 year run? Now it is pure "planned obsolescence,and all of us a sheep like consumers always having to have the "newest thing" and we all play into it!

I do agree with you on this trend... but I also think a good design that will stand the test of time, that will stand this "hate-accept-love" swings.
For example BMW E46 sedan looks still great while the E90 has become shockingly ugly and dated after short 5 years; and R8 is another example of timeless & great design... can't believe R8 came out in 2007, it still look futurish and awesome in 2012.

Exactly...lol perfectly stated. If all the posters took the time they spent posting complaint comments on a design that IS coming out - to either enjoy their car or work so they can afford the next one they might be happier in the end.
This same reaction happens with pretty much every new version of any car.
Half a year ahead of release everyone says, "They ruined it! I hate it!"
Right around release time the gestalt is, "It looks better in person. It's growing on me."
Half a year after release everyone says, "I love my car!!!"
Pretty much every forum I've ever read for every car goes through the same pangs. Too funny.
