The VCDS will definitely work. I have it on my 2012 S4. It isn't like I watch it all the time, but when wifey is in the car, it keeps her occupied...and quiet (lol).

On my car, when I press the gas and release the clutch, a constantly changing "picture" appears through the windshield. This "picture" typicaly includes traffic, pedestrians, parked cars etc. Makes for interesting viewing - I recommend it highly.

I enabled mine and only use it for live concert DVD's where the initial intent is to hear the music.

The video can be viewed when the car stops. If you drive down the road watching the picture then you are an idiot!
It takes the same common sense as not texting or reading emails while driving.

Believe me I see one text'er almost every day during my work commute. I can tell one from driving behind and confirm when I pull up next to them.
Head down, light green, car behind beeping the horn!
99% are women.

And 100% of them won't be driving my car!
