How to tell if my car is tuned.

How to tell if my car is tuned.
I know this topic has been touched on before but i couldn’t find any exact answers. I picked up a 2014 used Audi S4 and i don’t know any history on it. It has a modded exhaust but no pully upgrade or any other aftermarket stuff. My question, does anyone know if you can see any evidence of a tune in VCDS. Back when i had a B6 S4 i could run VCDS and my JHM tune would change the liter size of the engine? Do any of the B8 tunes change any visible data in VCDS that can conclusively be tied to a specific tune?

I need to know this as well. I'm picking up 2014 S4 with exhaust and intake at 3rd party dealership in Chicago next week. The car looks gorgeous and has some nice aftermarket stuff so I'm guessing it should have some tune as well.

I'm not sure how receptive the tuning companies are to running vin numbers but it might be worth a try contacting them. I know that some tunes allow you to use the brake and gas simultaneously whereas the stock cars shut off the gas when the brake pedal is touched. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I also recently started wondering about this too once I saw YT videos of people with POV cams driving around their S4's, and mine seems a bit quicker than theirs. I am also considering that cameras (dashcams, POV, etc...) may make video appear slower, or relative speed seem slower than actual, causing the impression.
I was going to just have a look around the engine bay to see if everything has an Audi logo on it, or look for aftermarket brands, but that isn't a very rigorous test.

I bought my used S4 sight unseen from a Seattle Acura dealership. I’m in NJ. Although the ecu was stock based on the local Audi dealership’s PPI, I had a feeling it might have been tuned before due to the other mods already in the car. A few forum members suggested contacting a couple of the major tuners. I tried APR first since they are the most popular. I gave them the VIN & they confirmed that it was flashed w/ their tune previously. I went to my local APR dealer & got the license transferred over to me for $150 & got it flashed back. You can also try contacting EPL, GIAC, Unitronic, 34 Motorsports. Good luck everyone.
