hello everyone! I have about 30 days before I have the money I want to put down. So I I'm taking my time shopping. Do I want the six or seven speed transmission? One s4 I'm currently looking at says it has locking differential is that the sport differential? I asked the dealer to take pictures of underneath the car but haven't received them yet. is there a way to tell other than looking underneath the 2013 s4? Also some advice on what other features I might want would be nice! thanks in advance!

Whether you want a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual clutch automatic is up to you.
The Torsen center differential is a self-locking differential. Both axle differentials are standard open differentials. If you have the sport rear diff, then it has clutch packs on the output axles to implement some wheel speed management tricks.
You should probably google search for "Audi 20xx S4 order guide", with xx being whatever year you're looking at, to see what the standard and optional components were. For the US, 2010-2012 S4 would be B8.0. 2013-2016 S4 would be B8.5. And they all use the 3.0T supercharged engine.

Also will a 2013 specifically state in the drive select menu if it has the sport differential?

I have a 2014 with the Sport Differential and I have it in the Drive Select Menu.
