Default fix paint scratches

Found there are a few scratches on the hood last week. Not sure when and where it happened (and by who and why?). I usually keep a good distance from other cars in parking. Car is less than 1000 miles. Any recommended product that I can remove the scratches? Thanks.

Can you feel them with a fingernail? They look deep. Not an easy fix potentially.

I can't feel them. seems shallow but easy noticeable . Maybe I can just try to wax them.

Well there is no one product that will fix your scratches. If you don't know much about car detailing and how hard Audi clear is then maybe finding a good detailer may be your best option.

Other wise you can spend some time on a good detailing forum, buy a good DA random orbital buffer, assorted pads and polishes and learn to fix them yourself. If the scratches are deep and can be felt with your fingernail then it will be difficult to remove them completely as you will be leveling the clear coat around them.

Not sure just waxing will be enough, but is certainly is worth a try. As noted in this excellent article, it's always best to go with a less aggressive approach first.

I would take it to a high quality local detailer. They may be able to polish them out depending on how deep they are.

This. Wax will not remove scratches. If you cannot feel them with a fingernail, a detailer can probably level your clearcoat with compound and either remove or drastically reduce them.

Try autogeek.net.

If it looks like it broke the clear coat it will need to be feather painted to fix that.

Spend the $100 and get it done professionally.
