I drove one ...it sounds awesome witht the switchable exhaust. Looks awesome too. Only problem is that damn 4.2 V8 engine.

yeah...can't really tune the 4.2 like the 3.0T. 4.2 has a history of carbon buildup in the engine around 25K and expensive to clean / maintain.

Interesting. Let me try to find more information on that and read up. It will be a problem for me as this will be my DD. And if I do what I did with my G, I will have exactly 50k in 4 years.

Yeah I would do a little more homework on the RS5. Try the RS5 Forum.

Thanks for the heads up on it. I searched and read about the carbon build up. Its been an issue (if you want to call it that) on all the 4.2 and other NA engines. But its not something to fix inexpensively, and depends a build on the way you drive too.

If I wouldn't have read it here, i would not have imagined it. Now that I think back, i may have some on my G35 too (2008, 51k miles).

But reading up on how its cleaned, and many dealers taking care of it as part of emissions warranty, is comforting. Guess time to keep aside about 800-1k every 15k miles (if the dealer doesnt cover it).

Default M4

If thinking M3....waitfor the new M4 coupe! I would not buy the old E92 M3. The body style goes back to 2007/08.

I disagree if you are buying used. They are comming down in price low 50 to upper 40's with low miles. Hell of a car for the money.
