Embarrassing racing story
So, my buddy and I (rather portly fellow 200lb), were stopped at a red light, in front of a straight away. My new S4, 7-sp, prem+, 18", at 1,300 miles. I gave him my blackberry stop watch and waited for the green light.
I slammed on the pedal and the car launched forward. It hit about 65 mph, at 5.5 seconds. The funny thing is that I felt a little "click" on the pedal about 1 second before I hit 65 mph. As soon as I passed that "click" the car seemed to launch even faster. What was that click?
I think the 5.5 is because of these factors:
1) I was in "D", not "S"
2) I was not revving prior to the green light
3) Manual timer (my buddy), rather than a machine
Could there have been other factors that prevented me from hitting the 4.9 mark, or even lower?

1. hand timing is more optimistic
2. 200 lb weight does not help; 2-3 tenths more
3. Need launch control for best time (at least put foot on break and rev)
4. 4.9 sec is for 0-60 mph

Yeah, and also note that 60mph indicated is actually 57. GPS locked 60 is actually about 63mph indicated.

Neither do the UK & thus I presume European ones 
Had a note in with the manual saying as much, because the manual actually refers to launch control. Anyone know why this feature was omitted?
PS, @ emailchriswon, what is embarrassing about 0 - 65mph in 5.5 secs?! Audi official time for S-tronic is 5.3 to 62mph.....
