Default Does "California Emissions" affect anything?

Wondering about a dealer swap from a California dealer.
Does a car with california emissions affect anything?
Performance? Resale value outside california? Certain repair or maintenance costs? Anything?

It's a 50 state car. Same thng you'd get at a dealer elsewhere.

Interesting...so the 0LM option code for California Emissions in the dealer quote is just a legal formality?

california cars used to have additional smog controls on them - I had a Mustang from California and it had an additional smog pump driven by the serpentine belt.

It may be that newer cars meet the California regulations without additional controls.
