Personally, I'd do it. Take the money. Do you really think there is going to be a major major deal breaking issue that they wouldn't take care of? If you think so, then go with your gut. My gut? Well, I'd take the break! When the car shows up with nothing wrong (which you know it's most likely going to), you're going to hit yourself in the head and wish you had taken that tax break.

Much better news today than my previous reply to this thread (#5) - I got the VIN today and an estimated port arrival (at Houston) for 12/7. The Sales Manager thinks it may be mine by Mid-December.

Yea apparently not everything was accutately updated...
For those in Cali, the Grand Legacy has shown up again leaving this Panama Canal - she is off the coast of Baja right now, scheduled in port at SD tomorrow:

This puts a ship leaving Bremerhaven, Germany on 10/13, arriving 10/23 in Brunswick, Ga US. Then leaving there a few days later, and getting to SD on 11/05.
From this, if our ship departs from that port, taking similar route and times, we would see arrival in Brunswick, Ga on ~11/27. I know mine is supposed to actually offload in Houston, Tx though so...another 4-5 days there, with 2 in port at Ga for offloading - Houston on ~12/04. This is dead on what is predicted so far.
For those in the Cali area, it was 12 days from Ga, I'd say it will be a few less even with a 2 day unloading, so I'd expect an arrival in SD of about 12/15 or so. I think you will all have a very merry Xmas

I'm just curious, is the itinerary the same for all of the ships that Audi uses? Bremerhaven --> Brunswick, GA --> Houston, TX --> San Diego, CA
Is anyone else expecting a California delivery the week of 12/07? Thanks!

Southern Oregon coast (Coos Bay). My dealer is Carrera Motors in Bend (a nice 240 mile drive one way).
Sounds like ours will be on the same boat. Anybody else on that boat?
