Default Cylinder misfire(s)

I was doing some VCDS coding yesterday and I also scanned all the other clusters. The engine cluster showed cylinder misfires in cylinders 1,2,3. Anybody have misfires as well?

I saw this once about 6 months ago I actually got a CEL. I cleared it and it never came back. I suggest you clear your codes and see if they come back.

You need to either change the N75 valve, ECT sensor, swap the ICM or change to the 710N's. :P

Reviving this thread as I've seen numerous misfires on my 2010, even after clearing with VAGCOM. I haven't had any CELs, and I don't get the comment about "You need to either change the N75 valve, ECT sensor, swap the ICM or change to the 710N's. :P". I'm having flashbacks to the ignition coil recalls I had on previous VWs, though I didn't have a cable then to check. Are misfires generally normal? Worry only if getting a CEL? Thanks. If it's worth it, here's part of the most recent log:

That's just a joke for those who owned a B5 S4.

Just likely bad gas, BTW. not a biggie.

Thanks, I use Sunoco 93 mostly based on availablilty in my area. Shell is here but not in great spots for me. Maybe I should go out of my way and try different gas, but if no damage is occurring, maybe it isn't worth it.

As for feeling it, I haven't noticed anything while driving or idling.

93 is plenty of octane. I use 91 and my S4 is fine. In CA, I think 91 is now the most you can get out of a pump
