Default Color of contrast stitching on steering wheel

I saw pictures with red contrast stitching as well as white. What decide the color of the contrast stitching?

Thanks in advance.

It depends on what color you choose for your interior. You get the red stitching if you choose the black/magma leather interior.

The seating type and color determines this (at least in the US):

Standard Black Alcantara gets you black stitching on the seats and white stitching on the steering wheel/shifter

Black Silk Nappa Leather gets you white stitching on the seats/steering wheel/shifter

Black/Red Silk Nappa Leather gets you red stitching on the seats/steering wheel/shifter

By extension, I'm guessing the color of the stitching on the other Nappa options (Black/Silver and Black/Brown) would also match the seat color, but I've not seen either of those in person. Can anyone else confirm?

This sounds logical. However I thought I saw red stitching on the steering wheel on the S4(Black Alcantara) I test drove last week. I might go back to the dealer to double check.

Does anyone happen to have a picture of Black nappa leather and stitching? I've never seen one in person.

It was my brain playing trick on me. I went back today and verified it was indeed white. The red stitching must be on one of many cars I looked at that day. Or the ink from the red sharpie faded already
