Default Clicking sound, burning smell from under dash, then loss of electric steering

Hi. while driving today, i heard a clicking sound from under the drivers dash, then an electric style burning smell for a minute. I now notice that the steering wheel is slightly harder to turn at certain speeds. I guess i lost my electric assist (AKA servtronic) steering? No lights on the dashboard. Checked some fuses on the drivers side and they all look good. rely? motor? Any help is appreciated?

Stupid question... do you have ADS full? if so have you tried switching modes from dynamic to comfort. That should give you a good idea if it's broken or not
