Default Break in Before ECU Upgrade

What is the current thinking about waiting on a new car to a certain point before flashing and a pulley upgrade? Have a new car coming and want to do it, just wondering if I should wait until a number of miles first.

I would definitely complete the 1000 mile break in before modding it.

Most major engine defect failures happen at below 1500 miles, but I waited till 4300 miles to tune.
