The upgrade for the S4 is relatively inexpensive compared to other models. If you're able to appreciate quality sound then I think it's a no-brainer as it does sound a lot better than the Bose system and an aftermarket system will cost you a lot more money.

If you view music like non-car people view cars (car is just to get from point A to point B), then don't bother.

I asked the same question. The general consensus was that the B&O option for the S4 is a great value and there is a noticeable, if not significant, difference between the BO and the stock sound system. For me, I looked at the cost over the terms of a lease; it added about $11 per month, or about $400 over 36 months. Worth it to me.

The OEM system ain't great, particularly for a $50K+ car, so I'd say the B&O is well worth the $$$.

Yes get it. For $500 it's completely worth it. I've had lots of compliments on the sound quality already.

For what Audi charges for the upgrade, it's completely worth it. I'd say, definitely go for it.
