ha!.... looks like they are doing it for the RS6... 450kw = 611hp...

s..ks the engine would fit in the 4 series chassis..

what are the odds we get this one???
Slim to none of course, but I'll hold out hope! Need to trade my CTS-V wagon in on something in the future... and this would be the car!!

that car is a rumour anyway. Nobody knows the engine...other than those working within quattro. I have a friend at Audi in the UK, and he doesn't even know, if that sheds light on it. And I don't mean a car jockey/mechanic or salesman...he works in the corporate office. If it does get made, the only way we'll possibly get it is if it is a sedan. Go do a quick search of mobil.de to see how many C6 RS6 are for sale...and you'll be shocked how many are Avants. The sedans are really just not that popular around the world. Funny how it's the polar opposite here. Unfortunately it makes a sedan a very expensive proposition for Audi.

RS6 should be interesting. It won't be the same 4.0TT that's in the S6. It may be a 4.0TT, but nothing like the S6 engine. It will be fully redone, reworked internals, different compression and maybe even bigger turbos. Totally different. It will also (if it makes it here) likely cost $100,000 just to get started. The fender flares look pretty excellent. The TTRS and RS5 look basically the same as the TT and A5, fender wise. Hopefully they make the RS6 aggressive as hell like they did the B7 RS4.

http://www.caranddriver.com/features...to-2012-page-8

Great comp of various cars from C&D (finally....) - B8S4 is spot 66 right above the B7 RS4 at 68 at around 3:10!!!

However, we are below the 335iby just 0.03 and the M3 by 5seconds.
Note- TTRS is 0.8 secs better than M3.... and by 1.8 than M1

That said - I would like to ask Audi again.... for a worthy RS4!!!!!

It's cheaper to do one tranny type, not to mention the economy of fuel from the DSG. It's no spurpise, the new S6/7/8 all have DSG only coming this year.

I'm not feeling well, I think I'm gonna be sick. Pretty soon the only choice of car manual drivers will have are base model Mazdas, WRXs, and Honda Civic Si-s. I don't even care about horsepower anymore, all I can think about is a world without a proper manual AUDI or BMW.

It's ok, I am sure there was also much lamentation when the hand crank to start your car also disappeared
