The kid doesn't know anything about tuning, never has.

Why listen to him?

Because he has 5-6 year posting history gabbing on and on about a car that is universally laughed at as pointless by the tuner community?

LOL.

Did someone send out the bat-signal for the 50 year old guys on quattroworld who live in their mom's basements and who still own B5 S4s?

Yes, because I can't tune, why listen to me talking about your buddies at ASP? That makes tons of sense. For that matter, why listen to you...beacuse you self tune, and log your car and tell us it's fast and great, therefore everyone should listen to you and forget about ASP's checkered history? This has nothing to do with me, or with you. This has everything to do with ASP. So let's focus on them.

Show me some of ASP's accomplishments that should

a) make us forget about their epic failures
b) make us walk past the APR booth and their proven tune/pulley

Waiting...and don't show me logs or dynos.

That and the fact that when we like someone, or we're their fan, we tend to close our eyes a bit to the complaints others lodge against them because 'that's not my experience'. But, again, does your rolodex contain all of the negative press for JHM? I ask that only to make a point. I have a very high regard for JHM despite the complaints from some, very much like I have a high regard for Mark at ASP.
I am well aware of JHM's faults. I've addressed them on the forums as well as directly to the guys at the company. Ask them who bitches them out the most. Me. I refer people there when I think they can fill a need for the person (I get asked about lots of stuff from being present on forums a lot) and when the service is slow and communication is **** (JHM's biggest knock by far) I let them hear about it.

So I wouldn't pretend JHM can do no wrong, absolutely not. When you consider that we're talking about annoyingly slow response times and poor communication because their small staff is maybe over-stretched, that's a problem I'm willing to deal with. Blowing motors and absolutely terrible products like asp? Not.

I just read about the Tune as well and after reading 5 pages I feel so much better informed now. Haha. Seriously though I cant wait to hear more about the tune. Especially the dyno plots if the Tq and HP curves are way different as previously mentioned in between ridiculous bickering.

Yes the dyno will surely be great

Bpp has already said he won't take the car to the dragstrip..a new record dragstrip avoidance....so no performance data forthcoming.

Also take note...even though I asked the asp fan club for

A. ASP's accomplishments (non dyno)
B. a reason to pass up the proven APR tune and pulley

...NOTHING has been posted. Says a lot about their favorite tuner.
