Great Deal on 19" Summer Tires
Just purchased 4 GoodyearEagle F1 Asymmetric 2(Max Performance Summer) from the Tire Rack for $540.00 (after the mail-in-rebate) plus tax and shipping. Great deal.

I had the first generation of these tires on a 335i and after about 10k, they got extremely loud. Apparently they have improved the entire F1 line since then.

Bought a set too. No tax to CA. Still a little bit tread left on the continental at 15k miles. So will store them at home for a few more months.

Every set of goodyear tires I've owned suffered a major problem well before the end of their service life. My old F1 GS D3 was the best performing tires I ever had, but only lasted 15,000 miles.

Seems goodyear is not very good from the opinion on the board. Dealer quoted me $1800 for 4 tires with installation for oem continental. I declined since it doesn't really last. I'll give goodyear a try. Fortunately its not expensive even if I have to replace it early.
btw here is a review of summer tires

The Michelin PSS that finished first in that comparison are my preference and what I have on my car currently, and they cost far less than $1,800 for a set. I prefer them to the OEM Conti's which I prefer to Pirelli P Zeros and Goodyear.

19" tire size
While on this subject, i have some concerns on wheel/tire size combos. I've done plenty of Plus 1/2 changes before on previous cars and noticed that Audi specs 245/40/18 (stock on my '11). I just purchased some 19" wheels and obviously want to retain same (or as close as possible) overall rolling diameter. I checked specs on various tires from Conti, Bridgestone, Dunlop and all seem to be at 25.8" DIAMETER (+/- .1")
When checking specs on a 245/35/19 tire, diameter is near identical give or take .1 inch, yet Audi specs a 255/35/19 on their stock S4's (larger overall diameter) with 19's.
I can only assume the stock 19-inched S4 is calibrated as such on speedometer FOR that particular car as well as 18-inched cars.
Any feedback from those who have changed wheel sizes?
