Default 2011 problems?

Hi all, hanging around this forum and others i have noticed quite a few problems on the 2010 build, ie.

1. Water pump (since fixed as i see)
2. Clutch creaking
3. Rattles
4. Brake squeal

Wanted to find out from the people with the 2011s if they have similar issues or has Audi ironed them out with the 2011s?

Thanks in advance.

Just remember, you will see more compaints on these types of forums. The water pump was changed in 3/10 production. The brakes still squeal. Reports of rattles are not universal. I guess some have a creaking clutch, but they seem to be the exception rather than the rule.

1,200 miles on a 2011 and no problems so far. Not so much as a rattle.

my new 2011 S4 brakes squeak worse than my 2010 S4 - otherwise none to speak of.

regarding the water pump... apparantly it wasn't changed on 3/10. Mine was released to production July 2010 and it still had a bad (plastic) water pump.

I think DrGP is talking about S4s. We do not know if they made the WP switch at the same time on the S5 3.0T line.

water pump I know is fixed. There is a TSB on brake squeal but it is mostly in cold weather. Fortunately I live in south fl. 1st year is never a good year. 2cnd year is improved but typically still has some room for improvement. No matter what people, mechanical parts will fail, even after 4th year. Some manufacturers use better parts or 3rd party vendors than other manufacturers. But failure is a simple law of physics. That's why we have warranties

I have had 3 cars with large front rotors, my current 13.8" squeal too, worse in cold weather. I alwsys check pad thickness with season change, ie winter summer tire setups but so far no problem pads 10mm or above.

Maybe it is a matter of Canadian vs. US cars ?
