I took my 2011 S4 DSG to a dyno (admittedly not an audi experienced shop). We put it in "Manual" mode, dynamic ADS and traction control off. Got it up to 4th gear (I see you guys did 3rd?) around 1800-2K rpm and then floored it. Problem was even in M mode it shifted up to 5th around 6700 RPM. I guess override comes in? He said something about a lot of Euro cars have a switch at the end of the pedal travel or something, so the next time he didn't floor it, but that makes me wonder if it was at 80-90% of throttle.

Can you speak to this, or how they drove. what modes or etc used when doing the pulls?

Plan to go back to a place with more audi/vw tuning exp who has a Land and Sea 1000 Dyno (dunno if this is any good) and see what is up.

Dont get the "drove" comment but yes.. manual mode, dynamic mode, traction off.. i wasn't in car so i can't tell u how he pressed the pedal. The DSG numbers were very consistent with my 6MT numbers.

Kai from elite motorsports uses the dyno also.. third and fourth gear pulls on it yielded very little difference.

Stay with same dyno if you want to compare mods and deltas.

Coupesta,

Any more mods and reviews This was one of the best threads I have come accross in a long long time..

It's very rare to find people doing such extensive tests like u have done and not to mention the very interesting question 'manual v DSG' that was cool and surprising too. I wonder what the result would have been if u used straight 93.

Any more runs after the tune with that RS4? or anything else for a good comparison? I'd imagine it would be a huge difference now.

Keep it up mate, one big fan here
