I tested a new 2014 S 6mt. I used to own a 2010 6mt. My impression is the 2010 is more responsive to the throttle. Has something changed between the B8 and B8.5?
I recall PrimeTime said they lowered the compression in the B8.5. I think gear ratios have not been changed.

Did it have ADS? What driving mode was it in?

I went through shifts several times. Felt the difference especially on 4th and fifth gears.
S4 had only 22 miles on.

I've had a 2010, 2014 and 2011 6MT S4. I have felt no difference. Could it be possible that the one you drove had no sport dif ? Or if it did have sport dif, perhaps it was in auto or comfort mode rather than dynamic?

It had sport differential on dynamic. Perhaps because it had only 22 miles it wasn't at full power

The OP stated he has a manual tranny. I thought ADS only has transmission/engine map settings with a Tiptronic or S-tronic.
