Default Working for clicking noise solution.. got call from dealer about "subframe"

Dealer has replaced everything under the sun. Has had my car for almost two weeks now.

They are going to replace the "Subframe". Could this be the culprit for my clicking noise on slow turns, over bumps, and when braking??

Default would you also describe it as a chirping?

I know of two others on these forums aside from myself that hear a chirp (coming from the front of the car) whenever they hit a bump.

Default Had the same problem, dealer finally replaced the subframe

because they said there was a broken weld inside of it (Their only explanation of the problem) and it still will chirp or rattle from the front end going over bumps in the road.I'm going to mention the problem to another dealer when I have my oil changed in the next few thousand miles. Yeah, they had my car for about two weeks as well, it sucked! The positives that came out out if is that they did a four wheel alignmet following the subframe replacement. This is required so make sure they align your car following the replacement.

Default It's common for brakes to click when hitting bumps but I had a broken motor mount causing noises...

when turning or backing. This was fixed under warranty...no more noises. The brake calipers still clink but you can fix this by tie strapping the retaining spring if I recall correctly. Just do a search on this.

My clicking problem was a loose subframe bolt. Tightened it and the sound went away.
