Why didn't you just use an epoxy to hold glove box door?

I think you'd probably have to remove the whole thing to do that well, and I was too lazy.

Obviously.

You're welcome!

I know it's not the prettiest fix, but if you paint the screw flat black it is very subtle. And it is certainly the quickest fix, and probably the strongest too.

hi

...I am looking for advice - help
I tried to take the cover of the glove box off but I have a problem.
How do I remove the clip from the picture?
I tried pulling but it doesn't move at all. Should I just use more force or is there another way to do it?

Beats me. I tried to pull those out to remove the door, but I couldn't get them out, so I developed my one-screw fix instead.

You might try posting a new thread titled "How do I remove glove box door?"

There must be a very simple way to dismantle this. Maybe some special tools or something. I would also like to pull out the box to have more space and sight to work on... Anyone knows about this?

How's the quick fix holding up? I need to fix the door myself.

On getting the pin out, you either grab it with some vicegrips and twist and turn while tapping on the vicegrips with a hammer, or you find something that will claw the pin and you tap with a hammer. I have not pulled mine out, but this is what I read from the other forums.

The quick fix is holding up fine. The screw threads into a thick piece of the hinge- I don't see any way it could fail.

And not one person has even noticed the screw.

Anyone know a good source for the 'always breaking' glove box? Can we start a group buy?
