Default bosch seem to be popular

but many have used NGK as well. I used Bosch, just because they were easier to get hold of ( I got mine from Amazon in a couple of days)

Default How important are the correct torque settings vs hand tightening?

I changed plugs on my prior car without regard for proper torque settings without failure, but I'm more concerned about my S

It can make a difference. Use 22lbs

Default LOL...I'm the same way. On my Jeep I use the "vein" method...

you know....tighten until 1 vein pops out of your arm, 2 veins for a medium torque, or 3 veins if you don't want it ever to come off!

But for some reason on my S4 I thought going by the book would be a better idea.

I tightened mine to 22.5 lb/ft.

what about gap? i dont trust out of box settings and always like to check prior to installing

Default They are not gappable (is that a word?). Always double check but you...

shouldnt have to touch them.
