What kind of prices have you guys been paying for 06 B7 S4's fully loaded with Nav, Premium Package, Carbon Fiber Trim and Premium Audio?

$53k for me.
Nav, premium package, premium sound w/Bluetooth and Sirius, alcantara inserts, aluminum trim, and cold weather package. Others have gotten better deals than I got but I felt it was a good price for what I'm getting in return. Ordered in Feb, came in this week and I should be picking it up next week.

never heard the stock B7 audio.
having said that, the B7 Bose system sounds a lot better than the B5 Bose (which was arguably worse than the stock B5 system).
i don't listen to music much in the S4...usually it's either Howard Stern, or I just listen to the engine.

Re: Is it me or does the stock audio sound better than the so-called Premium?
I wouldn't be surprised. I have the premium and it is absolute garbage. In fact the FM radio sounds better than my XM radio and the only thing approaching decent (and I mean decent, not good) is the CD player. I don't know if its faulty wiring or what, but the crappy Bose speakers are surely the chief culprit.

Nope, you're right. That Bose setup sounded like garbage to me too.
It just sounded hollow to me. IIRC, there didn't seem to be any center channel sound whereas on the stock setup it sounded so much richer and had a center channel. Bass response seemed better too.

Have you tried adjusting the settings for the different modes?
When we first got our car my husband spent quite a bit of time adjusting the stereo settings differently for radio vs. CD vs. SD. I don't have any major complaints about the Bose system, but I am not an audiophile either.
