Default possibly making a jump to a b6 s4

Currently i own an 02 b5 s4 i love the car and plan on keeping it for project ect... but im going to need another everyday driver ive been pulling between an 05 m3 or the b6 s4. Just wondering is the gas mileage really that bad on he 4.2 v8s i read the specs but there not always the best to go by. Let me know what you guys think

Default Yes, mileage is bad, but if you're gonna worry about that...

maybe consider something else than an S4 or M3. For me though, I don't put much miles on mine, so gas costs isn't much of a concern...but repair bills are!

Default When I had mine and drove it the way it should was getting ~11.5-12, tip though and at altitude...

When I babied it around 16mpg, mostly city driving on both.

I get a consistent 18-20 mpg for mixed driving. Love the car.

Default I've found my city MPG to be nearly the same as it was on my Stage 2 B5 S4.

Highway driving is a totally different comparison.
FWIW, I calculate my mileage at every fillup - the trip computer numbers are way off, especially on the B5.

Default Anyone claiming SIGNIFICANTLY better that that must be looked at with skepticism

22mpg on highway is achievable but any more than that is not realistic( Based on average speed and conditions)
