Newbie alert! 05 S4 Avant 6M! FINALLY!
Hey Guys,
My name is Bill and I've finally got my S4 Avant 6M after about 6 years of searching. It's Dolphin grey over heated black Recaros and has all the options except Nav, as far as I know. But it has the magical 3rd pedal that I've been looking for! She's got 134K on her, but the chains, tensioners and guides have been done, as well as a B7 clutch setup and starter in the past year. So hopefully the big items that have already been checked off the "major scaries" list will make her a good reliable driver for me.
Anyways, I'm a big car guy and know my way around the garage. Audi's scare the HELL out of me though. I also have a 450 HP Buick Roadmaster wagon that is getting a 6 speed swap and a few other toys... Hopefully this girl won't burn me and my budget too bad!
So, Hello! And I'm sure you'll be seeing quite a lot of me now. Instead of just lurking...

I also meant to post a couple pictures, but completely forgot to in my original post. I only have a couple pics right now because of the snow, but here they are from when I went to pick her up. Sitting on the snow tires now, but have a set of the 18" Avus rims and tires, too.
She's in great shape and the interior is immaculate!
Only mods planned are tint, exhaust, and maybe a tune...

Thanks. It's been a loooooong time coming!
It seems as though she's not without her issues though. For some reason the lower brakes lights stay on when the running or headlights are on. When the headlights are on, I only have the 3rd brake light working as a stop light. With the headlights off, everything appears to work as designed. Replaced the bulbs with no luck. I'll post up the question in the forum though. I've searched for two days, and haven't found an answer. Also, the driver's heated seat doesn't work. The PO said it did, so I'll have to check the connections and fuses...
But I have been enjoying driving her!

Welcome to the club!
I actually had dinner with the previous owner last night he's really sad to see it go.. Great to see it go to a good home.
HUGE peace of mind knowing the timing chain/tensioners have been replaced. He may also have a light weight flywheel installed as well as a JHM short shifter. I prefer it to the stock throw of mine.
Keep us posted on the ownership. Great find!

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, Joe seems to be a great guy and has been awesome through this whole transaction. He's even talking to me after the sale, and that says something!
It's a great car! Well worth the wait. I just have a few bugs to chase out of it and she'll be a great driver.
