Need front license plate holder/bracket
Just bought a B6 Avant and it came with the highly sought after filler plate, but no plate holder. The state I live in requires a front plate, so I have 2 weeks to find the holder. Anybody have one for sale or know anyone that does. I can't stomach paying what the dealer wants and can't find them in wrecking yards anywhere.

BTW, I'd be willing to potentially trade my clean plate filler for one with a holder attached as long as it's in silver (no painting required )and in good shape (my car has very few rock pit marks).
Thanks!
Thanks!

Just so you know, when properly installed the plate holder does not attach to the filler plate. The plate holder mounts to the bumper with threaded bolts that go 'through' the filler plate and into threaded holes in the metal bumper support. (behind the space where the filler plate snaps into)

I live in CA, a state that "requires" a front plate. I chose not to deface the front of my 2006 S4 with a license plate when I bought it new 5 years ago. I have never been hassled for not having a front plate.
If you live in a cash strapped city like SF where you get ticketed for not curbing your wheels on a flat street (seriously!), you may want to consider attaching the front plate. Otherwise, you have to park behind another vehicle on the street and hide the front end of your car. You will likely get a ticket if any parking enforcement officer or SFPD sees that you don't have a front plate..... and they are always looking for stuff like that.
I wouldn't even bother with the front plate unless you get a fix it ticket.
