need advice on a potential 2004 S4 cab purchase
I am in the market for a S4 cab. I found one in exactly the color I want (red) with a manual tranny at a New Jersey dealership. It's a fairly long drive from where I am so I wanted some opinions on asking price, etc.
It has a fair number of miles (52k) but is certified. From the included carfax it was originally a corporate fleet vehicle. Judging by the serial number it was an early cab build. Anything to worry about?
It will be a summer only car for me and i don't plan on putting a lot of miles on it (~5k per year max) so even at 52k it should last a while.
It looks nice from the pics (see link below) - of course it's hard to tell exactly without seeing it in person. The price seems reasonable to me.
Opinions are welcome<ul><li><a href="http://www.mendhamaudi.com/preowned/dsp_viewcar.cfm?vin=WUARL48H04K900040">http://www.mendhamaudi.com/preowned/dsp_viewcar.cfm?vin=WUARL48H04K900040</a</li></ul>

Looks good. No early build date issues with a cab. To confirm...
What's the in service date? (I would ask what the build date is but you'd need to be near the car to find that out)
Other than that, check the service history. If all's well, go for it. Great price.

Do it - looks like a good price to me
Keep in mind that S4 cab production lagged behind S4 coupe production and also A4 cab production. So even though it may be early build, Audi had plenty of time to work out most of the bugs on other models. My build date is 2-04, and I have not had any significant issues (though admittedly only over 22K miles).

I bought two cars there and know just about everybody... let me know any questions.
They are also a client of my company (every Audi dealer in the tri-state really is) and have a great relationship. E-mail me and let me know and I could ask any questions.
