With that logic, no car should be modified. All mods are "wants." Cars run fine from the factory.

1. I'm almost never with a rear-facing kid without my wife because of nursing, etc. So we take her car.

2. Front facing kids LOVE the S4...have you read all the "go faster daddy" or "Let's race him!" comments on the board?

Now, we may be moving on to Kid #3(!), and I still refuse to ditch my S4 Avant. Perfect Dad's car IMHO.

when it comes to cars! I always love what I buy then within a year or so I sell it and buy something else. Not because there's anything wrong w/ what I have but just because there's something else I'd like to try for a while. This is my 4the S4 (3rd one w/ a V8) so I obviously like them alot! I know exactly what I can make my car into, and that excites me, but I also know that S4's are dropping in price rather quickly and if I only keep it a year I'll take a bath on it next summer (plus lose all the money I put in for mods) so I'm just trying to weigh the +/- of selling it now or keeping it until next year. There's really nothing else out there in this price range that excites me right now so I might end up keeping it. But, if I do I know I'll at least put a full exhaust and coilovers on it to make me happy... then probably some wheels!

My daughter is 2 1/2 and she always loved going in my cars, especially my last S4 w/ the full Milltek! Hell, she even liked going in my H2 when I had that!

You said that trading 06 S4 after 10 months was "not that bad". Could you elaborate on that a bit? I am considering after 13 months and am finding alot worse depreiciation than I would have thought.
