Default I do much of the time...

in Sport mode especially when passing, before turns when I'm going fast, and occasionally to engine brake.

I mainly only use D when I'm in traffic, or when my wife's in the car because I scare the crap out of her.

Default RE: I am like Heliskyr

I use the paddle shifters to pass mostly.

I like the floor shift for tight corners as the paddles are hard to keep track of.

I am glad I waited for the 07 cab to get the paddle shifters.

I used mine probably 80% of the time in my first Audi, then they eliminated them in the second one I got.. I was VERY angry (special ordered car - didn't know till it showed up!) So when my new S4 came two weeks ago I couldn't WAIT to get in and start paddle shifting again... only unbenounced to me (and the dealership) the segmented steering wheel doesn't come with them (can you say ANGRY AGAIN!) So I am in the process of swapping out the wheel to a standard one with the paddles. Once done I think I'll be back in the "most of the time" realm.

Rush hour traffic - I throw on some good tunes, or chat on the phone, so always in "D".

All the other times, I use the paddle shifters. Don't even use the floor shifter anymore.

Oh yeah, like heliskyr, I am in "D" when the wife is in the car...same reason.

Default There is a 4 spoke option...

From the audiusa configurator...

Multi-function 4-spoke wood/leather segmented steering wheel with matching wood shift **** (customer order option*)

Comes with the wood trim.

Eric.

I spend a lot of time in "S" and augment with paddles "when needed".
