First time DIY Oil change: Can I use non-audi-authentic oil filter???
Is it ok to use non-audi-authentic oil filter?
(i.e the ones at Kragen or Autozone).
Should I have to change the o-ring in the oil-filter housing, too?
If it is the case, can I use non-audi-authentic-one?
Also, how about the small ring coupled with drain-plug? Does it need replacement at every oil change?
Thanks a lot in adavance.

Stick with Genuine or Mann. Cheap insurance for expensive engine
Also, make sure you use full synthetic oil meeting Audi standard 50501.

http://www.genuineaudiparts.com</a

Buy the oe filter. The car deserves nothing but the best. You can use any aftermarket too.
