Default First experience with 3rd party warranty vendor.

ok, my car died on the side of the road over the weekend due to a bad fuel pump. i immediately got on the horn with the vendor and i had it towed within the hour. Got a call from my audi service rep a few minutes ago and he said he spoke with the vendor and everything is fine, my car will be ready tomorrow. They are also fixing a window motor under the warranty.

I purchased my car from a porsche dealership and they told me they have been happy with them. In case anyone is wondering, the company is Dimension Performance First. Of course, if my engine caught fire on the side of the road, I doubt it would have went so smoothly. :-)

Default and for good reason.....these cars apparently cannot last all that long....

it's around that time now for the B6. Unless you don't drive it all that much.

Default It's sad that for all the hype around German engineering and the premium paid

that many of us have experienced enough problems (more minor than major) to fear driving this car out of warranty. I think about the old benz's that run forever, and people are quick to point out that there were less electronic gizmos to break on those cars. Yet, look at today's luxury Japanese cars. They have the most gadgets and seem to be the most reliable (and less to repair).

Default German engineering is for performance and fun factor, not necessarily reliability

That is for the azn engineers.
