ClearBra Question For New S4

Actually, your shown setup
is what they quoted me as what they'd do. Plus, they're right around the corner.
I'm thinking that eating the extra dollars may work out, unless another dealer w/exceptional installation skills is close.

The clear bra on my hood saved me from this past winter. Without it I would have needed to.........
repaint. It might look better, but I would still rather be safe then sorry.
Then again I live in NY and this winter was a mess.

Any suggestions for protecting the headlights / fogs?
I've got the Clear Bra but I've noticed my headlights and fogs are getting nasty amounts of dings (fogs especially.. they look cloudy already). That stonegard stuff that used to be popular seems to not be a good idea for these cars... anyone have any ideas?

I have it... good stuff... make sure your lights are alcohol cleaned before application though...
I have some cleaner residue behind mine...... so lights look hazy when on at night... i'll get it fixed eventually.

From prob. 6+ years on both '98 A4 and '95 Porsche 993, agree
A4 is Aluminum Silver (very light color), Porsche is Adventurine Green (dark metallic green).
Clear Bra / Invisishield / Invincishield / Armourfend / whatever (all the same 3M clear plastic) has been great; really saved the body paint (installed on front bumpers and hoods, plus around the wheel wells on the Porsche. There has been no color deterioration, and from more than about 10 feet away you can't tell it's on. Has REALLY saved the front end from stone chips.
If you decide to go with it, make sure you get a pro installer. You try doing it yourself and you're bound to end up with a lousy fit and/or ripples all over the surface of the film.

Better not to do it immed. on car purchase
If car came straight from the factory to the dealer to being delivered to you, best to wait a few weeks. I have been told that the paint has to be totally cured before installation.
