avant vs sedan
To all who have had both or considered one over the other:
Interested in hearing from those who considered both avant and sedan before purchasing. Any regrets either way.
Thanks

I've had 3 Audi Sedans in a row & now the Avant. No regrets, just bliss...
- I've had the opportunity to use it's Avantness (Utility) several times now where in my Sedans, it would of either been difficult or impossible.
- In Detroit, Audi's are pretty exclusive/unique (Big 3 Country) and w/the Avant it's Ultra Exclusive. I like that. Not the same car for miles and miles.
- These S4 Avants trump all Station Wagon Stereotypes. I like that too.

avant all the way
Loads more storage space, same great interior plus you get the added bonus of scaring the crap out of those ricers with a grocery getter ;-)
But seriously I had a A4 3.0 Sedan and it was great for space, but then I got a puppy and she goes to work with me hence the move up to the Avant. Had it for a month and couldnt be happier.
And when we take the kids and the dog to the ski hill, the roof rails are in place and we slap on the thule box.
Just depends on your lifestyle and what you need....

Re: avant vs sedan
I never considereed the Sedan with my lifestyle and needs; but I wanted the best looking and best performing SW I could find, and the S4 Avant wins for me. I love it after 3 months and 4000 miles; I like it more than any car I've ever owned in 40 years, including 4 BMW's.

Re: avant vs sedan
ONLY, considered getting an Avant, and per my sig, ended up with a sedan.. I was gung-ho for the avant, but of all people my wife talked me into the sedan.. She figured that she will always have a wagon/suv, and that I should have the "sportier" car.. I took her advice for 2 reasons.. 1 - couldn't argue the reasoning 2 - weren't many avant's available optioned how I wanted one on the East Coast.. LOVE, absolutely LOVE the sedan, and don't miss the minimally extra amount of space at all. Road bike fits easily in the back of the sedan w/ the seats down and the front tire off..
ALSO, the size of the Avant didn't make me do kartwheels, since realistically it isn't a very big wagon..
Just my .02 cents, but again, no regrets w/ the sedan..

I love my Avant
ZERO regrets. The car is nearly as quick and Law Enforcement doesn't even notice my little silver wagon. It is great.
Although not a "Vista Cruiser", the increase utility of having the larger "boot" when I need it is great. Trips anywhere are easier and the cabin is not boomy at all. Stereo sounds great. It is a win win.
If I had to do it all over again, I would get an Avant again, no argument. If there were an RS4 avant (in the states), I would be on the list as we speak.
