Default Anyone with Sirius wanna switch for XM or $$?

|I posted this a few weeks ago, but didn't get any responses|

I am looking for anyone with a 2004 which has the Sirius Satellite radio module.

I have an XM Module, and am looking to switch. I will gladly swap & pay for shipping.

Or, I could buy it outright from you.

The module is very easy to remove, and doesn't in any way degrade the quality of your stereo.

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Josh

Default Can the module be swapped just like that? I thought there was some hardwiring that was done that...

would prevent a simple swap, no?

Default I believe all cars are pre-wired to work with both. For example, people who didn't get the Bose....

could still order either satelite radio receiver and install it so we shoudl be able to as well.

Default Interesting. When I called to order my XM receiver I was told that the car was pre-wired for XM...

only and would not be compatible with a Sirius receiver. I hope your right, because I'd hate to see this guy get upset because the receivers are not swappable. ;-)

Default Antenna

I've heard that Sirius has different antenna from XM, so the guts inside of sharkfin must be swapped as well... don't know for a fact, though.

Maybe that's it. That would make sense.

Good point. Either the antenna is made to acquire both signals, or needs to be swapped.

What about the issue of pre-paid service?
