Tom...Not alot of magic done to the car on those checkups.Oil,filter, vehicle inspection. This is standard practice at my indie every oil change. Im simply not a dealer fan, period. Ive seen and heard of the dealers charging crazy prices for interval checkups such as coolant flushes, plugs, oil, rotations in the 500-700 dollar range...craziness! Take it to an indie and invest the 50% you will save somewhere else.

CPO is not the same as Audi Care....Audi care will cover those expenses and any other thing that goes bad or needs replaces...yes, if you keep it long enough...It cost me 725 last July...if you got those three services separately...its well over that amount.

RVT.... Right! As stated...These dealers charge waaaay to much for their services! 725 for oil, plugs, coolant changes... i just cant believe some of the invoices coming out of German dealer shops.

Audi care...Never looked into it. But i would assume wear items like oil, coolant flushes, brake flushes, trans, etc would NOT be covered by an extended warranty. Someone chime in here. That would be news to me if any dealer extended warranty took care of basic maintenance for free...Oh,pardon me,A few,2,3,4 thousand dollars to extend a warranty. Save that money...

Well you get three services for 725 or so, average out thats not too bad as some of that includes brake system flush, tranny and differential flush, new plugs, air filter and other items.

RVT... Just looked at your sig. You riding red? rvt twin honda by chance (rc51). If so,im a red rider as well (1k rr,2007).
I wish i had 700 bucks to give a dealer, but i stick with half for my indi to do that stuff. After all...ANOTHER one of my fleet of GM trucks was in the shop today AGAIN for more repairs, and another one going into the shop AGAIN tomorrow! My s4 looks almost saintly in comparrison with more combined miles than the 5 gm trucks i own combined.

Well, I went ahead and purchased the '05 S4 on Friday for $23k (CPO). The car is awesome!! Now time to get familiar with all the features/buttons..etc.

I asked about the Audi Care and they said that it now only covers 55 and 65k maintenance, not the 75k. Although, the audiusa website still shows that it covers all 3. I want them to honor the corporate website posting. They are getting back to me on that.

Thanks for everyone's comments!
