Default Drive an S4 Cab and see if you like it

I haven't driven an m3 vert so I can't compare. What I will say is that any convertible is obviously going to be about 2-400 lbs heavier than its hardtop countertop. If you like the s4 sedan, I don't know why you wouldn't like the cab. I love mine--coming on four years now. For me, the m3 is not even a consideration because I need all wheel drive to drive up mountain roads in the winter. RS6 is a nice thought except that you are stuck with a slushbox.

Default I think he is saying that he would consider a 4 door or a 2 door convertible

It is much easier to pull kids out of a two door by taking down the top. It is also much easier when you are putting in or removing child seats.

Default RS6 is a cool family car... but lots of service upkeep on that one. That is what kept me away...

If you don't need AWD the M3 drop top is a fun choice... although not really faster.
I think the S4 cab is a great overall option if you want to stick in the Audi family. The EOS is actually not a bad drop top either.

Default MKV 4dr GTI............MKV R32, the 2drs are really easy to get into the back of, and they are big..

Look into them.
