    C5 RS6 Shocks Leaking....What Now?

    Hello Gents,

I have a pending purchase setup for a beautiful C5 RS6 (thanks to all of those who guided me throughout this process; and Jerrett if you're reading this!), but unfortunately the owner and I have just learned that all four shocks are leaking at 39k miles.
There doesn't appear to be any other known degradation to the DRC system. The front shocks started leaking some 10k miles ago, but the rears have recently begun to "sweat" oil as well. Is this a sign of "imminent" DRC failure, and if so, how long do you suppose before the rest of the system fails?

Also, the Fidelity "Gold-Plus" plan (same company as CPO) that was included with the purchase of this car covers "struts", but does NOT cover shocks. The RS6 has shocks, not struts. That said, I know that many of you with shock failures must have the same (or similar) coverage for your RS6's- were these shocks covered by Fidelity or Audi??

If so, how did you manage this?

    Many thanks!
