A 2003 RS6 had a 4yr/50k mi warranty with free maintenance, but that's over now so you would be on the hook for repairs and service. A new M3 has warranty and free maintenance for 4 years.
Even though I prefer the RS6 I don't think $10k is a big enough difference.
